Lion Lines

Melanie Harris Guard, Lori Martin Hoss, and Barb Brown McLaurine (all Alpha Gamma) completed the Country Music Half Marathon together on April in 2 hours 17 minutes. They have run together almost every Saturday for ten years now, with Starbucks as their treat afterwards as well time to catch up. They are also getting ready for a 7-mile endurance trail run this December.

Kay Martin Love, (Gamma Chi, 1980) a member of The Jeweltones, which is a St. Louis-based performance group of five ladies that provide a wide variety of musical entertainment. They will be appearing in concert on Sunday, December 3rd, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Kirkwood United Church of Christ, 1603 Dougherty Ferry Road in Kirkwood. There is no admission cost for the concert - a free-will offering will be taken. The program contains many favorite songs for the holiday season. Amy Weese King (Gamma Nu, 1998) is a member of the St. Charles County Symphony Orchestra, which performs its Christmas concerts Friday Dec. 15 at 7:30 pm and Sunday Dec. 17 at 3pm. Both concerts will be held at the Foundry Art Centre of St. Charles. Tickets are $15 each. www.foundryartcentre.org

Karen Rahlfs Wood (Epsilon Omicron, 1998) will be performing in "Perfect Wedding" by Robin Hawdon as Julie, a chambermaid. On the morning of his 'big day', the groom wakes to find an unfamiliar naked woman in bed with him. With the ensuing mistaken identities, misunderstandings, and comical plot twists, this farce will leave you gasping for breath between belly laughs. The show runs February 9-11, 16-18; Friday & Saturday at 7:30 pm, Sunday at 2:30 pm. Tickets are $10 general admission; $8 seniors & students; $8 for groups of 10 or more with reservations.
